MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Phew! My emotions went like a roller coaster for a while. I think I got reply already (from Bob if I remember right) on that question about wiring optocouplers and followed it day before yesterday. It worked well during my 5 min test and I thought it is confirmed working. After doublechecking...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

This came back to haunt me as you told that not every part is suitable. I don't know if I understand EL817's datasheet right, but it declares "Output: Collector Current 50mA". I don't know if this is the voodoo that's with some types of semiconductors which requires math professor skills to...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Thank you for the tips again, gentleman. I (kind of) knew that part. Sorry for maybe mixing terms or facts. (That's also what our PM said, after getting caugth lying that he's proposal has 90-10 support. Actual numbers were opposite. :)) It's just not exactly clear for me what "bipolar...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Yeah, maybe I try to see if that affects logarithmic response. On the long run it's not useful solution as I'm using Bridgelux chips, so running soft doesn't provide that much benefit. There's also other thing that could affect a bit, but wouldn't expect this much: I have independly...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Thak you, sweet baby Jesus! :) Just did some tests and optocoupler really does work, even though the logarithmicity is still there near min and max. Maybe I just tackle that with some software function. (That was my problem in the first place :)) I didn't mean a 10V PWM unit (atleast not...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

I don't want to argue on this, because I don't know much. "Most of MEAN WELL’s led drivers achieve the dimming by reducing the amplitude of the output current being fed to the LED lights." "MEAN WELL 3-in-1 LED drivers are compatible with dimming controllers that generate a PWM control signal...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Actually most of the link you posted adressed to this question. Only model MeanWell makes that does PWM:ing the actual led-elements is model named "PWM". All others just lower the current according to PWM signal. Check it out. :) Maybe it's the same effect I had with leaking pot. Driver could...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Thanks for the tip. It's second time I've been told so on this thread, but I'm happy to get atleast some advice. Reason why I'm using different parts is that simple that basicly I have to order every single bit from China and try to use what I got in reach in case I don't know a month earlier...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Thank you for the effort. I'll dig in to that link little later. The reason I'm going for PWM is actually efficiency but from a bit another point of view: Easiest variabe for my setup to control heat (and humidity) is adjusting light. There's some swings from day to night, but also day to day. I...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

I think it must be on another thread. I tried to read every SDS' post from this thread with extra attention on the first place since most of the other stuff on thread seemed concentrate on same question about how to wire a pot and some of the other I didn't understand at first glance. SDS seemed...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

I was overwhelmed and scared myself too at the moment as I set PWM default to 10% on reboot. I was measuring power with kill-a-watt-like-device. With two hlg-240s I expected about 70W (w/ fans) on PWM 10% but got only 25W (including fans). On PWM 25% I got that expected 70W. From there it rose...

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

Ok, I must have missed them while concentrating on finding info on capacitors. After second reading I found it and yes, actually I did that already by accident but wouldn't wan't to test my luck to operate it in a way, that I don't understand. I mean I was uploading a new sketch, external 12V...

Let's try if I can post my wiring, so it's easier to point out if there's some mistake.

MeanWell LED Drivers: 3 in 1 Dimming Function.

I'm sorry, the question was bit short and hazy. I hoped that the link to the post which I'm replying to would do all the referring, but it's so small that even myself I couldn't find it. (first post here) :) I'm trying to build an apparatus that SDS described on pages 1 and 2 (of this thread)...

Sorry guys, but just can't get this worked out by myself. The diagram refers to capacitors "Ci" and "Co" while these values are given for caps "C1 and C2". Manufacturers datasheet recommend 330nF for Ci and 100nF for Co. Which cap is which?
