The reason I'm thinking of going with a ruderalis strain is because it flowers on its own and doesn't need a photoperiod or a change in the light/dark cycle. Is there a sativa that will flower by mid-august if grown outside?

I would rather plant indicas than ruderalis, but I've heard that they need a 12/12 light/dark cycle during flowering and with the plants being outdoors, I can't provide 12 hours of dark in my region.
