I do have a TDS meter. I understand the basics , its just the numbers that are slightly confusing. I have some powder stuff that is 20-10-10, would I need to use more of say 5-5-5 to achieve those same results? Or no, because the wet nutes are already mixed, therefore stronger/just as strong...

skimpy meaning 2-5-6 or 0-5-4. I just mean that seems weaker than some stuff i've seen at like 20-20-20. Is it that its just more concentrated?

I'm using DWC. I've got my ppm up around 1000 and all seems fine

Is it just me, or are most of the nutes out there really skimpy on npk ratios? I was looking into getting some GH or Dyna-gro but they all seem weak. That just means you have to add more right? I'm looking for something fairly inexpensive that provides more.

I can't remember exactly..but i'm pretty sure distilled is 0ppm yes. As you add nutes it will raise, yes. 400 will probably be too stong at first though.
