I reckon get it pretty decent size then top once. Then flower it after the new shoots emerge a bit. I'd then remove 1 lowest set - great for making 2 clones or even remove another 2 more like Arjan (if the plant is tall enough) to ensure ALL the effort goes into the top colas not the bottom...
