Attention Texans: HB 2165, aka "The bill that would completely and utterly legalize cannabis in the Lone Star State", made it out of committee and will now go before the legislature for a vote.

So what? Why...
A word of caution on today's update: LEDs are LESS likely to burn your plant; note that "less likely" and "impossible" are not synonymous. Over the weekend I was unable to continue providing LST to it, and the Fantasmo Express roared along and grew until a large amount of the plant was...
Texas' problem is Texas lawmakers, not TEXANS. Texas has no way for the law to change via referendum or anything like that; polls in the state show a strong majority (as high as 75%) wanting decriminalization or medical use NOW. Texas politicians are the gatekeepers, though, and they skew much...
The plants are looking strong and healthy! Here's the latest pics:
First, the Fantasmo Express:
As you can see, the numerous wires to LST her are barely enough to stop her rampant vertical growth. This thing is a beast. See that proud, "tallest of the bunch" branch on the top left that...
Friday was the deadline for Colorado to respond to the suit being brought forth.
To recap:
The SCOTUS has not yet agreed to HEAR the case, Oklahoma and Nebraska have just filed a suit in the hopes they will.
Colorado is asking the SCOTUS to throw out/dismiss the suit without hearing it
If...
Properly applied mylar is well over 90% (not even close to 60%), and it was easy for me to use horticultural mylar; I applied it smoothly to panels which had been cut to fit precisely inside the box. It's easy to clean that way as well: they just pop out and get wiped off, or if the mylar needs...
Maybe; I'm not expert on lighting.
I can say that there's a large gulf between "optimal" and "will work". Optimal setups will maximize your yield and plant health, but that doesn't mean failing to optimize every aspect will result in failure, either.
In this case, the LED I bought is designed...
The babies are growing!
The Fantasmo Express is apparently known for explosive early growth, and on that this one definitely delivers:
She's growing fast, almost TOO fast for me to LST properly! It's insane how much progress she's made since I installed the BlackStar LED, and it's not even...
I got the fresh linen one; it smells alright; the plants are starting to get some odor, and it's handling it.
Today's update: The Fantasmo is looking strong and healthy, only some minor nute burn from being tier planted into the main soil:
The Sour Crack is looking a little worse for the...
I've got an intake fan, two exhaust fans. I'm using ona gel inside the case to eliminate odors, and I can post another canister outside the case if need be; it should be plenty to handle two plants.
I can agree with that; I certainly hope some of the long shot states swing the other way; it would only take 1 to create some serious momentum, but there's already a fair amount of that as it is for the movement.
I only recommend you buy a box or a tent if you're not very good with tools, or if you have none and can't afford to buy them on top of your build. There's also the time factor: do you have the day/days to spend building a box?
Dealzer, for example, sells a nice PC stealth box for $600, but...
I'm all for realism, but the reality is that 30 years ago, this would have been political suicide. It's the same in Texas: 20 years ago you'd be insane to even consider proposing ANY form of legalization or decriminalization; 10 years ago, you could propose it and it wouldn't spell doom for...
A 4'x4' base is more than enough for 5 to 9 plants (depending on spacing, size of pots, and so on), and you'll need a minimum of 3 feet or so in height to get any appreciable grow. If height isn't an issue for you, 6 feet is much more ideal.
If you're planning on a DIY build (instead of buying...
