I ordered FastBuds, and I think that's what I got for freebies. No way to be sure, but FastBuds does have all the strains I got, and with one of them, FastBuds was the only breeder that NASC used for that strain.

I was thinking that on my next grow, I'd like to douse the soil with something to kill any insects/larvae before planting. Is there an inexpensive product that will do this and is safe to use?

I don't know if what I did helped, but it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse since Tuesday, and is growing nicely.

Both of these look like something I'd like to try. However, a lot of the reviews I saw on Amazon for the Myco Chum said that the bottle wasn't near full. And I can't find the Kellogg anywhere. I may try to find another fish emulsion on Amazon. And I also recall seeing some in Home Depot.

I was tempted to do that, but I haven't seen any adverse effects yet at 1/4. Could it be because I'm not adding any other Nitrogen (except the small amount in the CaliMagic)? I tried Grow Big, but it burned the shit out of a 4-week old plant at 1/4 strength.

They're on week 5 - 6. I really think the CaliMagic has been working for me; I didn't use it on the first batch, but did on the second, and they look far better (no issues at all). But that wasn't the only thing I changed, so I could be mistaken.
