  • I use 2 400 HPS and one 600 HPS/MH. It depends on your situation. I know you said money is an issue understood. You also have to look at space availablle. If you had enough space I wood go with a 400 or 600 as it is a great investment and pays for itself over and over again. Won't use much electricity either. You can get a really good setups for $200-$225. I am a medical MJ patient so I base my grows on 15 plants at a time.
You use the same products I do. I really like the Fox Farm products. What are you thinking about lighting?
You live in the NW in Seattle very cool. Any help I can give you would be my peasure. Why don't you tell me how you envision your grow (soil, nutes light etc.)
    Hello, Stillsmokin21.

I'm also a newbie in this hobby. I started to search online for information and I always came across this site.
So I started to read, read and read alot from the threads including other site and google.

Anyways I was going to start off in a hydroponic top drip system which I bought before I started to do a bit of research. But when I introduce myself there was a few people that advised me to do a soil grow so I can get the basic down first. So thats what I did. I bought some Fox Farm Ocean Forest and there line of nutrients Grow Big, Big Bloom, and Tiger Bloom along side with some molasses. If your going to do a soil run first get the Smart Pots 5 gallon,t they're great. Also buy some good easy to grow strains (seeds).

I can type up alot of things from what I've been learning but the best way is to read.
That doesn't mean I won't help you so hit me up and I'll help you in anyway that I can from what I've learned so far.
