I broke a branch off in mid veg. Will she still produce at full potential? Is it like topping, as where it produces through different means, but not less?

I accidently broke a 4 inch branch off a month old plant. I'm trying to clone with it. Does anyone think it will work? I followed the directions but the cutting is pretty small.
