Do I know you? have I helped you in some way before now? I'm just curious as to why you decided to offer me a friend request and to help you with a problem? I'm not being a dick I just want to know why you chose me to ask?

About your question, a picture is worth a thousand words.

man, there are a lot of things that can cause tips to curl down. and now your talking hydro and miracle gro which is kinda out of my world.

usually i would say you might be over watering or lights are too close... but you should try one of the hydro guys for a better answer.

good air movement is crucial for healthy tips. the tips are the most sensitive part.
The short answer is that it depends on where you live. Soil differs incredibly on this amazingly diverse planet. If you have dirt with earthworms in it, it is a good sign that your plants will be happy. Make sure that it is not too heavy. Soils are basically made of three parts: sand, silt, and clay.

BUT for Cannabis indoor growing we do a whole different thing, even if we only use slow release and teas. The potting mixes for indoor use (like subcool's) are designed for Cannabis. These are made of peat moss, coco, bark, and perlite (not sand/silt/clay), and are not dirt so much as they are a growing media. High air to water ratio relative to typical top soil.

If you read Subcool's threads, he uses expensive store bought peat/perlite potting mixes designed for Cannabis, and then adds food in meal/slow release form. If you read my threads, I use expensive store peat/coco/bark, because I despise perlite. And I add liquid and soluble vegan organic food with every watering.
Tryin to learn of the best ways to grow and get the best yield possible..Any help i can get is much appreciated and any help i can give anyody no problem..
