Wait you said the water is touching the bottom of the rapid rooter? Is the rapid rooter in a net pot with hydroton? If it is. lower the water so the bubbles burst and just hit the bottom of the net pot. Im guessing you are just soaking the rooter Got pics

I second the above. Just find an electrician friend and buy him some beer and pizza. Don’t cheap out. You clearly do not have a good grasp of electrical so just get someone to do it for you
