LST = Low Stress Training I dont think it will make your plants grow any faster. Its a good technique for guys with limited space. It will keep your plants short and bushy. I am currently doing this now. Do some searches, there are some good threads with instructions on how to do so.

Try using some string and tying some down and out of the way. I wouldnt cut anything unless they are dead. Good Luck.

If i were you, i would go get the book "buds for less", and the "grow bible" is always a must! They have it on sale at boarders or you can order it offline, you may be able to even find it online as an E-Book. Throw them in an empty closet with some cfl's and follow the book. Learn as you go...

You can usually get by with an exhaust fan up top, and vent holes down low for fresh air to enter. You should have a fan in there pushing air around too. What kind of light?

Use CFl's or some of the long tube fluro's for your first grow. Get that book "buds for less", follow that, and do plenty of reading. CFL's are good to start with, once you get one or two under your belt you will want to upgrade to a HPS or MH. Dont let anyone fool you, CFL's grow killer bud.
