See thats the problem, I work during the night and sleep during the day. I only get up around 11 AM and go to work at 2 PM, so I cant get up early enough to cover the plant and I am not home before sundown. That is why I am asking if I can cover the plant for about 2 hours before I go to work...

I don't think you quite got my question- I am asking if I need 12 hours of continuous darkness or is it ok if there is a break in the middle

So assuming Sunrise is at 6:00 AM, I should take the plant away from the light at 6 PM?
