SF G4500. How much light in flower?

Yeah I turned it down to 50% which at the insanely close distance is still around 33 DLI. I think cranking to 100% was foolish in my case as the increased photons didn't matter since I greatly exceeded my DLI and the additional light and heat created margin rolling and especially foxtailing. You...

SF G4500. How much light in flower?

Plants are doing well. At F47, they are on the home stretch. I lowered PPM to around 600 and adjusted the light to around 80% for 1000 PPF. The plants are showing some signs of small fox tails, so I'm backing off the light from 1262 to 1000 PPF. DLI is now 37 though I can't account for PPF at...

    Heaviest (F) Indica you've got

My favorite strain is GDP, but I'm not feeling confident in sourcing reliable seeds as they all ultimately derive from a handful of clone cuttings which combined with tons of imitators. I know Fem seeds aren't as stable as true M/F, but I can only fit 3 plants at a time and I can't risk even one...

    North Atlantic Seed Company

I've been dealing with NASC for years and I've never had a dud, mail intercepted, nothing. I just wish I knew a bit more on which breeders are reliable as I'm finally ditching In Herm Genetics. Grammable bud yes, but not thick enough buds and always inherent herm issues to various degrees.

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Any experience with this booster fan? A common complaint is booster fans make a ton of noise. I have 6 inch tent ducts so I'd probably just run it on low through the hole next to the intake vent. Hopefully it wouldn't require too much juice as my lights dim when I plug in even a printer so I'm...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Do you need air flow directly on the plants or just air flow to dissipate heat over the canopy?

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

So in this case a booster fan in the bottom left by intake vent to force air in, and then maybe an ACI cloud ray underneath the lights on the opposite end up high blowing air straight forward over the canopy?

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Funny enough yes I used this exact fan and it worked for awhile, but then the motor slowly got louder and louder over time when oscillating. I think the above post about residential equipment for commercial use is the answer. Fans just aren't meant to be ran 24/7 for months on end and inevitably...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

And does it matter if the air flows toward the intake vent or away from it? I'm assuming mount it on the same side as the vent so the air will hit the opposite wall and be forced downward before flowing through the canopy? I want to make sure I'm not blocking the ability of the air to either...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

By exactly horizontal you mean have it point straight ahead at the other wall with no downward angle? The fan would be stationary and no longer oscillate when mounted horizontally.

As the good book says lol.

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Facing intake vent or away from intake vent? What sort of downward angle? I'm trying to predict the natural air flow pattern through the tent. I need like a fog machine or something so I can watch the path of vapor. Perhaps I create my own vapor and blow it in front of the fan. bongsmilie

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

I was hoping to avoid buying more fans as 10 to 1 they all seem to be crap after like 6 months. I have enough coverage with the tower fan, Im just debating if there is a way I can mount it to avoid oscillation.

SF G4500. How much light in flower?

Unfortunately the picture probably doesn't show it, but the GS 4500 is at max height and to the point where part of the exhaust fan and filter itself is actually running between the light bars. I should have gone with a lower stretch indica, but the siren call of sweet stank was more than I...

    Alternatives to garbage oscillating fans

Why are all oscillating fans so awful? Even brand new ones start getting loud after several months of use. Is there an alternative setup where I can post a stationary tower fan that would give full coverage airflow in a 4x2? One possibility is I can remove the base and then mount the tower...
