If your criteria is cost then yes, I concur. Mine was style.

Herbies are first class, I would contact them with pics. They will come to some mutual agreement with you. If you can get away with tying the plants down, that is your best option.

As RF says, you will be manipulating their growth through tying them down so don't worry too much. I would consider LST'ing her/them nice and early too if poss.

You'll get lots of different answers, but as a rule, if you can keep your hand there comfortably you are fine. My Kushberry plants grew so big that they were less then 4 inches from the bulb, I had great airflow which really helped.
