nah not at all...im only a beginner grower and jumped straight on the led ship so i cant compare with hps or other lights or other spectrums in regards if they are vegin fast or slower or what not but i was extremely happy with the final product so i cant complain

looking at picking one of these up from cutter http://www.cutter.com.au/products.php?cat=Grow+Light+Kits&scri=290&filter will they be strong enough to veg for a abit aswell before i throw them in the 4x4 with the cobs. otherwise my mate gave me a single 18w t8 but dont think that will be enough

yea should still work with dimmer disconnected, did you get them going?

hey mate have you got one dimmer for both clusters? disconnect your dimmer and see if its working as it should be. i remember when i built mine i wired my dimmer wrongly somehow and only half my cobs were working

thanks thats a great tip. ive dimmed down 50% now and lowered it to 18" and maintained a steady 22/24c last night. its my first indoor setup and i guess im just trying to find what works. thanks for the help

Cheers mate, il try and see what the temps will fall down to. But got them turned up to keep the heat up since its the middle of winter and nights are really cold. Ive moved them to 30" away from the pots.

i got 4 seeds that just poped and put them in pots this morning. ive been having to run my cobs (10x cxb3590 @1.4ma) full power to keep a good temp in my tent and with the heater on. how far should i keep them away from the pots? im at 24" now. might have to get another heater so im able to dim...

1 cob per sq foot as rule of thumb. so you would be looking at 8 for that grow size. probs would get away with 5 but id jus go 6 and have a better layout of cobs for better coverage

Thanks for the help got them dimming. Just wasnt sure if i had damaged anything since one set of leds wernt working so thought id ask before i kept having a go at it.
