You can put as mny plants under a light as you want sure. But you give up a lot doing that. I keep to 4 plants per 1000 watt and always had the best results. Most guys i've seen also run 4 plants per 1000w. Just MY personal prefrence

Update.... COuple weeks into flowrinf now.Looking happy :) little nute burn, but i was running the water pretty hot 1000+ on that water. Wife watered for me and didn't listen lol
