    Is PAR Just Another Gimmick?

Par is a measure of photons in the 400-700nm range. PAR is not weighted but the McCree curve shows plants will take and use whatever they can get. I digitized the McCree curve years ago for 5 different spectrums at the same wattage and when the curve was applied it modified the numbers but not...

    XHP360?

Seems XHP360 is a knockoff. I got excited for a minute. The XHP70.3 HI is kind of exciting though.

    XHP360?

I'm seeing flashlights with "XHP360". Tried to look them up on cree.com but nothing. Are these Cree products that are only being made available to Chinese flashlight producers? A Chinese knockoff using Cree's nomenclature?

Differences between veg/bloom when growing in soilless media

My moms were suffering from low PH, which seems to be an issue with reed sedge peat based mixes. I was feeding at 6.5 and plants would start to yellow after 6-8 weeks. I tested the run off (note below) and measured PH under 5. My first solution was to do a flush and then feed and "cycle the...

Differences between veg/bloom when growing in soilless media

Apologies if I wasn't clear, I'm switching from hydro to a soilless mix (pro mix HPCC). If I feed the soilless mix at 6.5 the PH of the mix will drop below 5 in 4-6 weeks. That's why I mentioned feeding at PH 7 which seems to keep the PH stable so far. I've been doing my moms in soilless mix for...

Differences between veg/bloom when growing in soilless media

Long time hydro grower, wanting to perpetual in soilless media. I'm phrasing the question as the differences because I've kept my mothers this way for a long time and learned to keep them healthy. I limit the feed to about once a week at 500-600 ppm and PH to 6.9-7. I was PHing to 6.5 but would...

    Air cooled?

I've get tips bleaching when running LEDs a little too close. Heat has never been an issue, though of course there are other factors accounted for. I have used pin fins passively cooled on my lamp builds for years, but they are oversized. 150mm sinks for 45w output. But I still have some 200...

Ideal age of genetic material going into flower?

Yes, the age from germination whether original mother or clones of clones. I'm not sure if there's a proper term for it. If it's something you're skeptical of try keeping the same genetic material around for a long time and note the yields and bud quality. With various strains I've noticed that...

Ideal age of genetic material going into flower?

The maturity range seems reasonable. It's not every strain but a good number ime produce poor results when the genetic age going into flower is 10 weeks or less and then end up being an all time favorite when the genetic age going into flower is 12+ weeks.

Ideal age of genetic material going into flower?

Something I haven't seen talked about much, thought it would make a good thread. This is for photoperiod plants obviously.

    Ideal age for mothers?

More specifically, what is the ideal age of the genetic material going into flower? How much difference does it make?

    Who REALLY Cures PRIMO?

So, what is dank dank dank? It seems like the OP is expecting something different than rock hard nugs that are cured. Is it just the bare minimum of dryness to prevent mold? Or is there something more to it?

    Who REALLY Cures PRIMO?

I hang dry (about a week) until outer crispiness starts. If it's particularly dry I'll pull a bag up over and let it hang like that for 24 hrs and then continue the open air hang dry. Once it's close to the right moisture I do the final trim and put in open trays. The trays will still allow for...

    Yellowing Leaves Early in Flower

Yea, I haven't done as much soil as hydro but I did learn that a flush can make a huge difference. I did it mid flower for every plant but over time I learned to change the PH of the nutrient solution so I didn't need to flush. It's going to vary by soil brand, nutes, etc. but over time you can...

    Yellowing Leaves Early in Flower

Every soil PH probe I've used was shit. I've never used straight coir so I can't comment on using it. Maybe someone else can comment on the pics, but they don't look that bad.
