you said it yourself.... "as long as you can handle the heat, use as many lights as you can cram in an area!"
I would assume that by doing so, you are adding more and more lumens, meaning more and more light, closer to the power of this sun you speak of.... so I will agree that the more light...
I totally agree on the bad statement about lumens..... i may be new to growing, but I know how to research, and I know that lumens are extrememly important
2 of them are strawberry blue's, and 3 are skunk no.1
seeds came from attitude seeds
got a big box fan...
as far as PPM goes.....not sure how to do that
i was thinking maybe nitrogen burn.... and some sort of moisture issue....
and as for my light height level...
its a 600 watt metal halide light @ 66,000 LUMENS ....
You really think my light is too high?
really?! The new node growth looks SO SKINNY compared the everything underneath it .... and one of my skunks and some yellow edges, that looks like someone took a highlighter and trimmed the edge of each leaf ....this is on the new growth only, nothing underneath.... and the leaves that are...
Okay I have 5 girls ...
the bottom of each plant looks GREAT! its the NEW growth I'm worried about! The leaves on ALL the NEW nodes on ALL 5 girls are having upward cupping leaves, some that look like claws.... and on some of the new growth the leaves are WAY skinner and thinner than the...
well I think I have corrected the pH issue...
I ground up 2 teaspoons of garden lime pellets I had to a fine dust, and mixed the 2 tsp into a gallon of water...
I then took the same ground up lime pellets and sprinkled 1/4 teaspoon into each container evenly and cultivated the top 1-2 inches...
by the time I mixed everything up using a soil recipe i found online... 50% was from a 5 gal mix... and I didnt use a complete 50%... I had 5 gals of soil I mixed in to my organic amendments to 3.75 gal of perlite, mixed thoroughly in a big cooler before I divided it into each container and...
no, unfortunately I do not have an intake fan, just a 4 inch inline exhaust with attached carbon filter.. and then I have a 1.5 foot household floor fan for circulation inside the tent... I open the tent 2-3 times a day, and sometimes leave a section of tent unzipped for air intake... I today...
I also have distilled water... the only reason I have NOT been using DISTILLED is when I open a NEW gallon of Distilled and check the pH level before adding anything, it tests around 5.5 ...isnt that too low to start with.... my tap starts around 7.6 and with a few drops of sulfuric acid (pH...
my tap comes out at about 7.6. to 7.8 .. let it set for 24 hours and I might get to around 7.2 to 7.4 ...I then use ph Down (Sulfuric Acid) and if necessary pH Up (sodium carbonate) to achieve a solid 7.0 tap water
using top soil with these ingredients
Per Gallon of Soil, mixed in before...
