Harvest (Day 62):
Sorry for the lack of updates I’ve been extremely busy. They were harvested at day 62. I would of liked to take them another week but I spotted a few spider mites so I decided to take them down. I’m suspecting the yield will be much better than last harvest despite only having...
I always run my temps around 83F, for seedling & veg I keep my RH around 65-70%, once buds start developing I taper down to 45-50%. Some people have success running a higher RH during flower but I’m not able to tend to my plants frequently and don’t want to risk PM/budrot issues.
Drying is...
Just the T4 exhaust is fine for a 2x4 with 260w of LED. No need for active intake, but if you are worried about light leaks you can use AC infinities cheap 4” or 6” booster fan with a short run of ducting with some loops or bends to minimize light leaking in.
Humidifiers aren’t necessary but...
Spider Farmers won’t grow any better buds than Meijius or Kingbrites from Alibaba. The money you save can be put towards your electricity bill. Get 2 of the 240w units to cover your area. I own Kingbrites, HLGs & DIY Samsung strips and the difference in bud quality is negligible.
Bloom boosters, just like supplements, are unnecessary if you use full spectrum base nutrients.
All the additional supplements and boosters from flashy nutrient companies are just marketing gimmicks to make more $$.
It would be the equivalent of taking supplements on top of a full spectrum...
Water contains dissolved oxygen and the levels will diminish over time from the roots absorbing it causing the root system to be deprived of oxygen and anaerobic bacteria to take over. Hence why DWC or aero cloners can grow a plant full-cycle due to the addition of oxygen.
In most cases yes because the roots will absorb excess moisture and prevent oxygen deprivation. When no roots are present and you are constantly watering the medium it will promote pathogens and provide lower than ideal oxygen levels.
It’s no different than rapid rooters. Having them constantly...
My irrigation is set to run 30 mins after the lights come on (plants take time to wake up) and 6 hrs into lights on so that the coco has the lowest moisture content during lights out.
You can definitely overwater seeds in coco. You’re essentially drowning them when repeatedly watering them without any of the moisture being absorbed by a root system.
I water my flowering plants 2x a day and they are in straight coco. When people say “you can’t overwater coco” they are...
Why would you water something daily that hasn't even sprouted? LOL
You don't feed coco daily or multiple times per day until the roots fill the pot. I have almost 100% germ rate in straight coco. I plant seeds, water until runoff and then don't water again until they have sprouted.
