What happens when the plants get too tall for the aerogarden? Is this a problem?

I saw the aerogarden on the Today show this morning and am very encouraged by the posts on this topic. It seems that the lid on the aerogarden is pretty low. What happens when your plants get too tall for the garden? Is this a problem? Thanks!
