Already did, sent them one right after you said that. Waiting a response now. According to there website they don’t except and returns or exchanges unless it wasn’t delivered. So we will see
That’s an interesting take on it and could be a possibility. However these seeds are stateside so no customs to travel through. They are only about a 4 hour drive away from me too. And were delivered next day. But I’m actually regretting not ordering from my normal company out of the UK because...
It’s funny you say that because the seed bank I bought from has only been open for about 6 months. So I assumed they would have the freshest seeds... obviously just because the store is new doesn’t mean the seeds are. Lol
Thanks for the informative response! And I’ve grown over 100 plants using the paper towel method, so it’s just become my perferred method. But I think it’s somthing I might go away from. I’ll give some of your tips a try and see if that helps them sprout.
Yes I use a dome and heat mat. I’ve haven’t had any issues in the past. And since I had old seeds from other orders I sprouted those without issue. I gave the new seeds another try after that and they still didn’t germ.
What other Info should I add? I was trying to be as Informative as possible. And no the seeds did not come From there. Lol it’s a new stateside seed bank.
so I have been growing for several years now and have NEVER had a seed not germ. Recently I decided to try out a new seed bank.. and..well these seeds aren’t germinating.
I bought 5 different strains.. 5 packs each. And so far I’ve only had one strain germinate at 100%. The other 2 strains...
Okay, well I just spoke with Ipower and they said its most likely the bulb. Since the bulb is at the end of its life the ballast has "old bulb protection" that will trip the internal breaker to keep the bulb from shorting or causing other issues, So tomorrow my new bulb shows up. Fingers crossed...
I'll check that out, I never thought out it being dirty, but the ballast itself is about 6 months old. Is 6 months enough time to really clog it up that bad?
I am going to try a new plug other then the timer and see if that changes anything and I will let you guys know, I also have a new HPS bulb and timer on the way from Amazon and it will be here Wednesday. Hopefully one of those 2 will fix it.
No there is no smell either. i did just place a new lamp fixture on the unit about a week ago. think that could be it? And sorry about all the questions, I just want to make sure I check everywhere I can before I buy a new ballast. I don't really have 180 to drop on a ballast right now.
That's what I was thinking too, but I shut it off and unplugged it for about 24 hours. When I woke us this morning the grow room was about 61, so I turned the light back on and within 10 minutes it shut right back off. It was still cold to the touch. The bulb is coming up close to 50,000 hours...
The circuit breaker isn't tripping, just the ballast. The ballast has a internal circuit breaker. Like a surge protecter Or a GFCI outlet And for whatever reason it keeps tripping.
