I know this is a little late but that meter is horrible for indoor grows. I did my research and found others with my exact same problem. Anytime my pump turned on the meter would go nuts and shut off. I found out later it was due to a poor cheap electronic in the meter. Not accurate at all if...
Thanks everyone for the advice! And I am set for electricity because I have about 3 plugs all with separate capacities of 2000watts so I have the power to run up to 6000watts in my room. As for setting up an exhaust i will look into that. I never used co2 before and I am worried about wasting it...
ya i guess it is an american thing. i would still say go bigger, cant hurt. not going to cost much more as opposed to running one that is only one inch smaller.
buy a controller, without a controller you can end up wasting alot of co2 if things are not calculated correctly. Co2 controller is the best and most precise way to monitor the co2 levels in the room.
I agree with footcan. I use a 1000watt digital quantum ballast. They are mh hps switchable and the great thing about these are that they can be dimmed. On the ballast it has 50% power and 75% power. So if you want to save money or not stress your plant out rite away with a 1000watt lamp you can...
They have inline fan "silencers" (same concept as the ones used on guns) that attach to the inline fan to keep it quiet. I use one on my 8inch inline fan and it makes a world of a difference.
I just recently set up a completely sealed room for my next grow. The idea of a sealed room is that you have no exchange of air, no intake or exhaust fans. You keep the room temperature down by running an inline fan ducted through your sealed hood sucking cool air from outside the tent and once...
Get the 6 inch, you can always attach a speed "dimmer" to it. Works just like a light dimmer but dims the speed of the fan instead. 6inch ducting is more widely available as well.
The more light the better. More light = bigger faster growing plants with denser buds. More light also means you need more co2 since the plants will be sucking more co2 out of the air. For a small room like this I would recommend sealing up the room completely and running an co2 tank if you have...
Well lets just say the most advance growers can pull about a gram for every watt. So it really just depends on what type of results you are looking for. If you are investing the time and money into running a hydro system i would invest the money into an HID lighting set up. They say a 1000watt...
Yes exactly, i do want a sealed room. This would be the best way to make the most of my co2 right? Plants dont need fresh oxygen, all they need is co2 right? The plants breathe co2 and give off oxygen correct? Therefore why exhaust all my co2? I am circulating and "scrubbing" the air to keep the...
I originally posted this in the newbie thread but I think it is more appropriate to post in this section. I am growing hydro for the first time and want to get some feedback on my system before I start the ladies. My grow room is a 5x5x8 tent that is completely sealed. I have a 1000watt hps in a...
I am growing hydro for the first time and want to get some feedback on my system before I start the ladies. My grow room is a 5x5x8 tent that is completely sealed. I have a 1000watt hps in a 8inch air-cooled hood attached to a 8inch inline 755 cfm fan to cool it. Using the CAP Ebb and Gro 12pot...
