Has anyone experimented with powdered onions, onion compost, raw onion juice?
I just thought of this today and I know that I can't be the first person to try and look this up with no luck.
I'm on several experimental runs with trimming, I've had good results by removing the bottom 1/3rd of all leaves and nodes, mixed results with GML-style leaf-stripping (one plant had up to 4 inch buds on a few tops, the other one maintained average sized ones) and an overabundance of popcorn...
I've got about 3gals of it left over and was wondering if you guys know a precedent for it being used for feeding. It's really aromatic and dark, it formed a film on top just like a strong tea. It's about 3 days old at this point.
I don't think that the coolness factor is a selling point outside of the low-end, like the cheap panel that OP linked, and these models are mostly 2010 surplus parts thrown together as a sort of low-info scam.
As far as things being proven for effective growing, I'd say that CFL's and HPS have...
I've had good results with an 8x15w uncapped led bulb rig (2x4000k 6x2700k) someone will probably explain in great detail why they're not perfect, but it worked really well for me.
I just got a couple of these (cw+ww) and cut off the reflectors, they light up really warm and come with little heatsinks and fans inside them.
Pretty good price per watt, if you ask me. I didn't bother going for fancy storebought leds, I went straight for chinese pre-fab.
I might make a...
the spread is probably horrendous, I've been researching headlights and various designs for a day or two now and I've yet to find one with the chips being front-facing.
idunno about that, the builds I've looked at float around 80-100$ per light+driver+sink. These are around 20-30$.
for sure, I want to avoid reflectors. Considering that the most efficient reflector for these would literally be the headlight mount itself, it wouldn't be great. That's why I was...
