many growers believe that HPS will produce higher yeilds but MH OR CMH will produce slightly lower yeilds but better poiency and flavor. recient studies indcate the higher UV and VIOLET may be the cause of this. as a PU MMJ grower that can't sell what I produce. I prefer MH,CMH.or T5s but a...
once you get the power set right it works well with herb. have not tried it with wax or oil and you need to let it cool before removing the glass top or it could crack.
looks like this is for vaping oil. several kids got sick vaping infused e-juice so this may be the only safe way to vape cannabis if you don't have an herbal vaporizer
I refer real science to "BRO-SCIENCE" https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4030627/ PUBLISHED 2014. LED makers have always claimed that plants don't light that LEDs can't produce but I have seen some nice plants grown with T5s which have very little deep red(660nm)
I know about cheap chinese LEDs but they are cheapand they may work for my applicatiom.they achieve those high ppfd readigs by using a very narrow beam angles. for me LEDS are toys to play with and I don't plan on spending a lot on them
Iplan on using them as supplemental lighting to add more red during flowering.. eavh bulb produces 132 umoles at 12 inches so 4 would give you 524 umoles an efficient flowering level. my main light produces a little over 700 umoles so flowering power is not a problem
I've been a T5 grower for 6 years and see no reason to change.LEDs may be good for suplimental lighting and I like playing with LEDS but for a primary grow light I am not interested in any light that can not supply PSII stimulation or UVA to a plant and the only LED that can provide PSII...
looking at the different lights on the market there seems to be no consensus among LED makers. this is a new and evolving technology. in time we may have true full spectrum lights using 385nm diodes driving an RGB phosphor
