yeah dude your right i shouldnt just be throwin any old sand in there. and yeah i did grow from seed but the little bottom leaves (cotydelons) turned yellow and died off. i read that's normal. and then i went out to buy soil but got garden soil. which doesnt let oxygen to the roots and slows...

usually 3 days ina damp paper towel bro' dark cool place no disturbing the seed you should see a long white tail pop up and then you mplant that facing down in your soil and in a week youll see a sprout:)

ive had this sprout for about 3 weeks now and it seemed to be doing fine. up until i added some sand to the soil because it was garden soil which was used in a pot. so i added sand to loosen it up it was just some sand i found in my neighborhood. it started getting brown tips on the leaves! idk...
