good method
in my experience the bennies are pretty useless
I prefer to save money for nutrients and run to waste.
Plants will like a low EC anyways, 400ppm nutrients is usually plenty
also, in my experience, doing 1 large watering of 15 minute (like cap) is inferior to watering 15 times a...
you must calculate the heat charge for all the apparels in the room
(lights, fan, ballasts etc)
multiply the total wattage by 3.4 to get the btu
hot climate (during summer) will also influence the heat charge to dissipate
Here we have 230v current (with live and neutral)
I think you are speaking about 120v right ?
Because at 230volt, 600w equals 2.6 amp
If we round this at 3amp, for 3x600watt it makes 9 ampere.
In my experience it's OK for a 16 ampere breaker
I think the voltage drop will be negligible
To my knowledge these extension cord are very fire hazardous
Ime it is wiser to use a single cable from the ballast to the bulb, without connection in between
Even when I used lumatek digi I used to strip the c14 type plug to connect a domino
I...
yes Sir
230v here, which makes 2.6amp at 600watt
1mm² wire is 18 awg if I'm not mistaken
On the paper it's enough, but it's without taking account of the starting current of the ballast which is x times higher than 2.6 amp ??
So i'm wondering if the 18awg will suffice
The price difference on...
Hi everyone
Any electrician still round ?
Is a 1mm² cable "thick" enough to power a 600w bulb ?
(As the cord going from the ferromagnetic ballast to the bulb, distance approx. 10-15 meters)
On the paper it is enough, but in reality ?
ps: forgot to specify, with flexible cable!
a 3.5kW mini split will handle this easily
during winter the outdoor unit will run very smoothly if the room it's in is cold
you will barely hear it from outside
also the air conditioner does not produce any "humidity"
except that water held by the air will condense on the coils and be...
even better .. you can get a mini split and put the outdoor unit in a separate room
This room has to be cool enough so that the outdoor unit can discharge the heat from the grow room.
The sum of the heat will be : heat charge from all the equipments in the growroom (lights, fans..) + heat...
your well water measure 25 ppm out the tap ??
if it is the case it is very soft
Why pass it through a RODI filter ?

The amount of CO2 dissolved in water is proportional to the outer pressure. At 20°C, 1 liter water dissolves about 1.7 g CO2 at normal pressure (1 atm). If the pressure is...
Well water isnt high in co2 mate. It is probably high in minerals (actually dissolved in the underground by co2), which is a good thing up to a certain limit.
To supply co2 in a room this size your only option is compressed co2
A bottle will last several month in a sealed room
