I top dress on top of the mulch layer and then kinda rough it up a bit so that it can fall down deeper into the mulch layer. Then I water it down in some more and the worms tend to do the rest of the work.
What are your thoughts? I've always assumed it was some type of calmag issue. I grow in sohum living soil though which is supposed to be packed full of everything so not sure why it happens

That was my initial thought but everyone seemed to run with spider mites so I just assumed people knew better than I did. That would also explain the large number of them appearing so quickly
