With clones, once the plant starts putting out rapid new growth it is fine to feed a decent dose. In my opinion, 2 weeks is usually the normal time to allow the roots to grow and then try to spread 1/4 of nutrients and increased to 1/2 by the next week. Hope this helps.

Hygrozyme could definitely be the cause for your concern. You are not alone with appearance of ‘brown algae’ after putting in Hygrozyme. I've heard this from lots of people.
