Thanks a lot for the info. I was lead to believe the same as Snotboogie though regarding the amperage. I'm going to assume it's the ACDC adapter. Shame I didn't test it before snipping the connector off lol. Well it was only a couple of quid, probably why it doesn't work.

Has anyone got any experience with using these and an ACDC transformer? I bought two of them and tried to splice one of them tonight just to test it and it does nothing. I've read that these particular fans have some weird controller actually in the fan which doesn't allow it to run without...

When you say use a 6500k or 5000k for flowering do you mean those specific figures or is in between acceptable i.e. a 6400k. The basic understanding I have means the latter correct but I just wanted to check.

I was under the impression that cheaper CFLs didn't allow a timer to keep time. Does it work because there is an extension in between them?

How are you people using timers with you CFLs? What do I need to look for when buying CFLs in regards to using them on a basic timer plug? Thanks.
