I picked up a 240 watt, Light on Ebay for for $260. It was only 3 watt leds though and not 6 but i dunno which is a better value. I just hung it so ill post some pics in a few weeks when they are worth something

The real question is how much light do you have. WIth the proper lighting, conditions, and veg time you can yeild 3-4 lbs per plant (i am only talking 5 weeks of veg). Obviously that is if you have 40k and plenty of space to drop on your system. SO how much light/how many plants.

The best way to go is to run all the lights all the time and setup like you are suggesting. Grow serious 3-4 lb trees with the right setup. If you are gonna run them only part time i reccomend you make a flip box so you dont have to buy the ballasts for every light only half of them.

I use madfarmer NUTS (nutrient uptake solution) humic acid. It comes in a liquid form, and is OMRI certified. I have never had a problem but i dont run it at full strength i just use it as ph control and it works wonders.

do you keep a single mother plant? If not clones of clones of clones can degrade the genetic material. I would still say more likely it is a lighting or enviroment issue though.
