A good idea is placing your screen over your plants well before flipping. As to your present situation you probably won’t get 2 full weeks of them staying pliable enough to weave. After that the branches get harder and tend to break when bent.

Spraying anything on flowering plants is an invitation to mold.

Topping requires time after doing it. If you are concerned about plant height consider supercropping. I personally wouldn’t top unless you have a couple of weeks for the new branches to elongate.
