How close can you grow the clones together? Better yet whats the minimum amount of soil needed to grow a clone into a full budding plant? According to the genetics of my seeds the tallest they will get is 31 inches.

I just need to know if I need to use a ballast with a 200W CFL? Or could I just use a simple clamp lighting fixture? I see that they do sell 200W CFL but no ballasts.
