Those roots look GAWGEOUS! that is certainly the root structure that I'm going for. I didn't have quite what you have here in the plant that got me ~2 ounces, but the root ball was DENSE - way way more than what the Dolato I grew was. I'm trying to figure out the differences in how those two...
Would light or CO2 (or lack thereof) be a cause for diminished root growth? I'm seeing way less root development than I think I should be. Don't have pictures of root balls, but the one that had well developed roots yielded over 2 ounces and the ones that did not have well developed roots were...
Nice! I like the sounds of this method - seems like more control over the system. I'll google the setup you mentioned and see if it makes sense for what I'm doing.
Interesting - I'm not against soil-less mediums. Would you suggest something like what's laid out here? Looks like it would be automated which is nice...

I agree that it sounds like I've been underwatering based on how you handle it, but my plants aren't showing signs of being thirsty except for a low yield and not a lot of root growth. I harvested another plant that I had revegged under the exact same conditions essentially (except that the...
Agreed - this thread has definitely given me plenty to think about and run down, so I'm thankful for everyone's input. I also agree that I don't think it was a nitrogen toxicity issue. If it was that, I'd expect to see the same with other plants, and I didn't.
I totally appreciate it! I'm definitely still not entirely sure what the issue is. I keep coming back to the fact that my root structure really isn't where I think it should be and that that may be a big piece of this. Thinking that overwatering in veg is the culprit, but have to experiment and...
Hmm - could be that. I'm going for around 4-5 weeks on veg before a flip, so I feel like that should be enough...I can go 5-6 weeks though and still keep my schedule, so I will try that.
Sounds good - yeah I don't plan to buy a BD when I actually go to buy. Thinking Mars is a good way for me to go considering how much I like the ts 1000 for veg.
So it sounds like you'd say that my low yield is mostly due to lighting - would you say that's right? I've said elsewhere in the...
Interesting thought - my push back on that though would be that the Dolato was the only plant that had the dark, glossy leaves. Everything else looked fine, and they all received the same nutrient regimen.
Room temp oscillates from around 77-80 degrees. Have sticky paper up to catch the fliers, and am using diatomaceous earth and drying the soil to kill the larvae.
