Maybe just hookup an old 400 hps ballast and screw in a 315cmh with adapter to try for now .

I like my 16 inch IPower bowl trimmer. 7 turns one way , 7 the other , done. I still hand trim the big buds.

My guy at the hydro store was a little miffed when I bought 1 cmh ballast and two bulb's . Instead of 200 for ballast it cost me 20 for a timer to shut new one off so it could flip .

I'm running 2 315w cmh 3100 Philips with a 400 hps , sometimes a 600 hps on a 3x7 area , 2-3x3 flood tables. If I don't run hps I have to use a small heater to keep temps around 80 . Hps is in middle . Went to cmh to get power bill down. Will see in a few week's .

I've been running my 315 3100k Philip's bulb in an old 400 hps ballast ,not as efficient but sure boost's trichomes .

I just bought a 315 cmh ballast , growlite it's called , $300 with 3100k Philips bulb and adapter, no hood . I'm going to try veg and last few weeks of flower with it on a flip box . I will be replacing a 600 hps .
