Go to the Forum and i would probably post a new thread in the "Newbie Central" section. Click on that...then on the almost top left corner you will see "Start New Thread" click on that and you should be good to go. let me know if it works.

Thats odd that he didnt respond..he usually does. A thread about your growing questions is a good idea...ask for help and be humble and people will step up.

one other thing. Dr Greenthumb will answer email questions you have. He could probably tell you something about pot sizes he uses and yeilds.

I think I am going to start a bit smaller but I do have some time and I am doing extensive research

With all those strains you are going to run you will find that they all require differnt things and its hard to pin down one plant let alone that many. You might want to limit how many you run the first time and go with multiple plants of the same strain.

For a first grow I would always recommend to start small because problems always arise. But if you are careful and do some research you should be okay. Look for threads on this site by Heath Robinson...maybe do a search on the word "vertical" and you will find his stuff. He is useing 600 watt lights with the hoods removed and hung vertically and produceing monster plants. With your equipment and some time you could pull something like that off.
when you get the ability to do PM's on this site this will be a bit easier...send me one when ever you can.

First off, let me tell you that i am no expert so please ask others as well who might have more experience with the bigger set ups.
30 gal pots seem really big to me even with the 1000 watters. How many of 1000 watters will you have.
Also, remember that when they are small they will need small pots. If you go straight into a five gal pot with a seedling you may get root rot of any number of other problems. When the seed cracks and sprouts a tap root i put them into jiffy pellets until they have cracked the dirt and have lots of roots showing. Then i go into 16 oz cups and then from there 1 gal pots for veg and finish in 5 gal for flower. Some dont go through all those steps and go from seed to a 4 or 6 inch pot, which may be better with fewer transplants.

so I wanted to try 10 plants from Dr green thumb
and I have a pretty nice size space
we were thinking of using the 1000 watt bulbs and 30 gallon pots after we got them to break shell
but as I look around I see everyone else using small pots and 400 watt lights and I over shooting or just looking to do something a lil more major
I want to make some really nice pretty big strong plants and I have about 12000 sq ft to do so and about 15 ft ceilings
