the 400w HPS ya got will work nice, they have added blue spectrum for veg. start it off high and lower slowly as they grow, ya will b able to tell when they get uncomftable. I done clones under a 600w at about 1 1/2 ft away in a dome :-)

It depends why ya growing aswell m8, if ya in it for quick cash stick wiv hydro as ya will get bigger yelds and faster growth when ya learn how to use it. the best taste is found in a mix of poo's in organic soil wiv benifial bacteria so depends what ya want? get rid of the MG and ya should b...

it will be bad. heat, humidity and the fact that plants will be unable to convert oxygen into Co2 in the air in dark cycle will all cause probs :-)

hydro (without soil) needs a lower ph 5.8 soil needs a higher ph so they prob growing without soil

If ya add a bit of garden lime to ya soil mix ya dont have to worry bout PH probs :-)
