same seeds? if so are they both getting the same amount of light or does one shadow the other by chance?the smaller could be rootbound? theres alot of factors to play into your question.

^^^Btw I've never used anything but MG and I've never had a plant look sickly,mishapen,or bare.....just dont be stupid and fry it with full strength nutes off rip and keep it with an even schedule feed-water-water-feed.
