Can you start vegging in soil after you started in coco? or is that silly?

yes im using 6500 lights. I did some research and coco didnt seem that much more difficult to me thats why i decided to go with it. My plants are now starting to get a few brown spots on a couple of the leaves and one plant has brown tips.

i moved the light away to about 6-7 inches now. How fast do they recover from something like that once fixed?

they are jorges diamonds #1 and vertigo autos.

So im growing in botanicares readygro mix (50/50 coco/perilite), Im using 2 23 watt cfls for the grow about 2-3 inches away from the plant tops, using plain tap water ph'd to 6.3 6.4 and the ppm are about 180 in my tap. I do have a small fan blowing on them also. Their 10 days old from sprout...

so should i keep watering with 5.8 for now?...and not worry about the runoff for now? i dont want any nute lockout in a few eeks or so when i start feeeding them. what ya think?
