is it a must to shut sprayers off on a timer , like 1min on and 5 off?

when should i expect the littler/aero plants to start sucking up water/nutes? right now the are at ph of5.7 and 525ppm (growA&B, B52, tarantula, and piranha). I used 1/2 the amount of paranha and tarantula on the package and equal parts of B52:A&B. I mean it been in the machine over a week...
