i heard diatomaceous earth is really bad....but that was only one perspective, I'm just gonna tape up the pots get the traps and put a layer of sand over the soil, and see what happens.

the gnats are attracted to the color yellow, so any suggestions?

well i went to lowes and the highest cfl's they had were 26 watt equivalent to 100. i dont even know where i would get higher wattage, they should be a lot bigger for 2 months but they seem to be doing fine, just growing slow. im low on funds, i was planning on buying 2 more of those same lights...

i only have one 100 watt cfl per plant. is that bad? i mean, i know its a lot lower lighting then i should be using but im having $ problems, so ya. i was trying to kill a gnat and it landed on the soil, and so i pushed a little aside and some strange really small white oval thing scurried by...

or is it too early to tell, i did the best i could with taking the pictures, i also have tons of gnats, pretty sure they are gnats they are tiny black things that fly and are quick as hell when i try and squish them they always get away....also, today is a month that these 2 plants have been...

lol. any way you can tell how they are looking for their age so far

they are about 3 and a 1/4 inches tall, there are 2 of them, the 9th and 10th leaves are beginning to grow, excluding the cotyledon leaves...sorry about the quality of the pictures, just wanting to know how they look so far.

its for one seedling thats about 2 inches tall right now...and another about to sprout...the lights are the ones common for bathrooms which i have the plants hanging about 4 inches from the lights with a fan in the bathroom. i was just planning on keeping it this way for a week max until i can...

I havent bought lights yet, this was the first sign of any thing coming out of the soil..today..so i plan on buying lights tomorrow. i've just been keeping it on my window sill inside, and in 3 days without germination its starting to grow. thanks for all the advice, i do plan on growing indoor...
