Time is an illusion, and I don't care about dredging up old posts. Sometimes they are pertinent, if they didn't want people commenting they should have turned off posting.
I'm not here to debate water harshing the weed lol :) But it's a good theory though, I think primarily its high temperatures which ruin the taste. People get impatient and just turn it on and forget it... Most terpenes have fairly high boiling points, but I suspect the terpenes which carry most...
My dehydrator only runs around 133.8f (after 30mins roughly) so by cycling the temperature on and off I achieve the same results as your 12hr timer on low. Yeah I could use a newer dehydrator, but this works fine I used a temperature sensor to test the temperature so I know it's accurate at least.
I don't have that experience, I've done a lot of experimenting with duration, temperatures, etc... the best seems to be 70-86f (20-30c) using a thermostat timer to turn on and off when it gets under 70, or above 86f
I did experience this when I removed the moisture too quickly.. it does make it harsh. The idea is to remove the water around the same rate as regular drying process does but maintain a level of moisture in the bud so it doesn't crumble into oblivion. My first attempt I actually forgot about it...
It works fine for me, have you tried using one before but with a thermostat timer? I personally don't have a space to hang up plants in a dark location with a fan blowing over them.(Not a safe sterile location) So I chose the next best thing... temperature controlled dehydrator, keeping the...
The key to using food dehydrators is to get a thermostat timer, Have it turn the dehydrator on when it goes below 70f and off when it goes above 86f which is 20-30c (Ideal curing temperature) the idea is that it will take 2-3 days (or longer) I have had very good results using this method. I...
I think the joke about pussy pots or pots of pussy really made me laugh lol.
Yes I have to agree there are a lot of ignorant people, but that is no reason to be a dick. :) I mean wouldn't it make more sense to educate people rather than making them feel like crap?
BTW it is actually possible...
Is this Tombstone? I KNOW if you wait too long the plant will turn hermie and pollinate itself... and then you'll end up with a bunch of lovely seeds. :) Just friendly warning.
Oh shit lol I just realized that the post was from 2011... my apologies, but my warning still stands, this breed will...
I think it mainly has to do with oxygen content in the water, with enough oxygen saturation your mycos should be fine in a hydro situation. But I would think with stagnant water mycos would die, or in the least not grow very well.
I have read that molasses also helps mycos grow, i.e. give it to the carbohydrates/nutrients it needs to thrive and it will in return help your plants grow. Mycos work by a symbiotic parasitic relationship. Mycos attach to the root system extending the reach of your roots to pickup more...
