I definitely wasn't calling the lights shitty, just repeating what others are saying. I believe they are worth the price, especially if you are just wanting to grow from the start without wiring anything or whatever.
So, you can come to this thread and bash me for showing an affordable LED that WILL work just fine, but don't have any suggestions towards the OP about upgrading? Pretty sure Mars is made in China as well. I was just saying how good his plants were looking under the Mars, which I KNOW isn't top...
I never said anything about a comparison between the 1000w vs the $229 LED. The videos I have seen were similar to what my set up is with a 600w. I can yield 1-2 pounds by leaving the HPS on 24 hours, rotating plants every 12 hours. I have vegging plants in the tent under that 24 hours of light...
I would advise against spraying. The trichomes would most likely absorb whatever is sprayed. Ladybugs saved my ass during late flower a couple of years ago. Noticed webbing forming on the buds, took a microscope and seen spider mites. Went to eBay, typed in ladybugs, $7.99 with free shipping. 24...
Not too sure what insect it is, bug ladybugs are a good defense against most predators you will encounter. Better as a preventative measure, but they will eat bugs they find, but it has to be an enclosed environment for it to work properly. Release a few at a time, maybe 100 or so out of the...
Maybe you fail to realize that exhaust fans run electricity, air conditioners run electricity. I'm attempting to cut down on these things. I'm thinking long term, as in less electrical costs due to the lights being less wattage overall, with a full spectrum. The LED I posted is more than...
The claims aren't false if they can be backed up. My post was meant to be an easy solution if you didn't want to fuck around, but was ready to grow. HEAT is my issue, hence the reason why I want LEDs without having to modify/break the bank. I live on a limited income with many different...
As long as the canopy is that temp, it's perfectly fine. Humidity sounds good as well. I would say your plants haven't recovered from the heat stress yet, but they will recover if given time. Just make sure to not overfeed at this point, or even feed at all since they aren't fully recovered...
Do you have a fan circulating air? Too much wind can cause twisted leaves. I've noticed that in older plants, but not seedlings, as I provide a very light breeze, or even no breeze if too much heat isn't an issue
If everyone growing had $1000+ plus to drop on "the best LEDs", then I assume they would. I can assure you that the HIGROW would be perfect for lower budget growers for personal use. The Mars hydro the OP uses seems to be doing well, and I'm pretty positive the HIGROW can match/surpass that...
Yellowing during flowering is normal. However, excessive heat has caused my plant's leaves to curl/dry up and then die. What's your NPK ratio on your food? Most likely the plants are requiring more food if you haven't fed them up until this point. Start off slowly with the feed, going below the...
Looking good! I have been interested in upgrading to LEDs for heat issue reasons, as my 600w MH/HPS bulbs are simply too hot for my 5x5 tent during summer months. I've found what seems to be a very good LED, especially for the price (includes true UV, 12 band full spectrum unlike most others...
