I'm glad this question has been asked. My girls are only going to be 8-9 days old when they go in the ground. From the experienced guys, What is better. Starting them in a small hole/cup?, or ,starting them in the same hole that they will stay in until harvest?
Smoke report.
It's been about 3 weeks or so of curing so this weekend was first test run.
Keep in mind I am a rookie smoker so my opinion on it is almost meaningless.
Method: Rolled a good sized joint, took 2 good sized hits off of it. Butted it.
Taste: Slightly fruity, not too skunky...
day 125. Completely dry, chopped and waiting to cure. Netted 11 grams dry. Not too bad considering the tiny size of the plant.
Thanks for the knowledge and support that made my very first grow a smashing success. Hopefully will have a new and improved journal (possibly with led's) soon...
Day 87 update, yesterday marked 1 month of flowering. One thing I noticed is that the upper leaves are dry and curling into the bud.. Is this normal. Otherwise, the plant seems really healthy. Don't mind the leaves in the bottom, those are just trimmings.
Day 75 update, Not quite 3 weeks into flowering. Down to one plant now as the little one decided to be a guy. The lovely lady is growing nicely and forming some beautiful little buds, Here is a few pics.
Day 62 update. 1 week into flowering, Plant 1 is a confirmed female, plant 2 is unfortunately looking like a boy and will have to go. Here is a shot before I axe the poor guy.
Quick day 55 update. Plant one is getting so big that I'm gonna have to go 12/12 earlier than I wanted to (probably tommorow), which is going to leave plant 2 as some sort of pygmy.
So heres a group shot: Plant 1 at day 55, plant 2 at day 35.
Day 48 update! Plant #1 is 48 days old, plant 2 is at about day 28.
After a really rough start it's nice to see that plant #2 is really taking off, Although it looks really small it is growing by about 10-20% by the day.
Plant 1 is large and bushy and I have managed to LST a nice spiral shape...
Quick day 40 update. Plant 1 is doing well and starting to show what I believe is female pre flowers. Plant 2 is finally growing its second set of leaves, but no pic.
Heres my pride and joy:
Day 32 update: Plant 1 still growing well, Plant 2 is still not doing much. Trying to keep an eye out for preflowers. Any idea how long until I can tell the sex?
Anyway, heres a pic.
