yes thats where we ot the amps from in the first place, but i could run a kill-a-watt and measure actuall wattage draws and i think meter some way of calculating amps
i never thought about the digital timer having battery backup, your right about that, but still wont fire the lights if theres no power. but definitely suck balls trying to reset it, rrrrrr.....

i went with the magnum ochos, i liked the extra 8" tube room @ the ends, and it has a little more square pattern. also the reflector seemed to point more downwards then the raptor, as it seemed to spread out a little more, dont know if thats good or bad, but hey.
i had an electrician tell me the 10 awg would be fine, i guess he did some calculations, what leads you to beileve it requires a higher gauge than 10 ? the lights are pulling 4.25 amps each x 8 is under 40a, so 50 amp breaker is perfect, i dont ever expect them to pull more than 40a anyways ? my...

so i see you had all those ballast hanging on the wall, what was the out come that you learned NOT to do
either dont have them in the room or else dont hang them in the wall. im just at a loss where to out them
just have them chilling on the floor ? im trying to have them out of the grow room or up high, cause heat rises, trying to keep the heat out of the room. i have 8 1000w fixtures, so you can emagine the heat im going to have.
im trying to do this build clean and dont want ballasts lying all over...
