I did have what looked like black bumps on the stalk of a few of my poppies this year. It was some type of bug. Used water hose and soft bush and cleaned them off. You really need some pics....

Does it look anything like my leaves? Thought this was mildew at first. The places where my leaves are like this stems are dark 3-4" down too. Mine has been like this for well over a month and still healthy, growing like crazy.

Where can azamax be found, Is it local stores or something to be ordered?

I have neem oil and Diatamaceous won't do anything to nematodes deep in the soil. Diatamaceous earth and nematodes and actually used in conjunction.
