    You can get wings for the cooltubes but hoods are better for light not as good as cooltubes for keeping it cool have u done any plant bondage ? 1000s are ideal for penatrating the canapy have you looked at any a/cs

    I haven't seen the diy carbon filter but get a inline fan I have killed fans hooking non inline fans to filters

    Ballast or metal halide problems?

    Are you unplugging the ballast from the wall or from the reflector my ballast dosent make any noise when my timer is off but I have had accidents were the reflector comes unplugged from the ballast and makes horrible noises. Hope that makes sence lil high
