i get a lot of pull and snap, its great to work with. i am using a bho method and purging under vac. going to try 130 for the first time.

Can a concentrate lover please tell me the difference between shatter and sap? The sap I makes slightly bends but still snaps.. The shatter doesn't bend and snaps instantly. Does anyone know if hotter temperature times achieve one over the other? Please help me out because sometimes I get one...

Ok cool, I got some awesome replies! I literally have been standing over my griddle like a starved hawk, however this will change when I get the sand a flowin. Thanks for the help. I will hopefully no longer have to perch on the handles of my vacuum chamber. lol

Should I hit a room temp purge or should I take a risk into the crappy 20 dollar griddle that doesn't stay stable? I was thinking of floating the chamber in water thats warm but I'm not sure of the safety or efficiency of this. Anyone have input? I'm trying to achieve stable temperatures so...

I'm not sure on my vac pressure until I get a new gauge. I think I need a better griddle, this one I have sucks and wont get the oil above 120. Anyone use a good stable griddle? Props to qwizoking for the help

can anyone tell me if this means the temperature of my wax is 114? I think I messed up with the heat, it looks shattery.

Any good tip for knowing when to pull it out of the vac? Will it be stable and not bubble?

Thanks for the feedback! I'm trying to get wax. I'm a little confused when checking temperatures though. Should I be checking the oil temperature inside the vac chamber and maintain that or should I check the griddle heat? I'm pretty sure I should be checking the oil but any feedback would waive...

here is a pic of what I made out of some bunk white widow trim. I'm not sure if i purged long enough or raised the temperature high enough to achieve the consistency I wanted. It doesn't spark or sizzle though and it gets me RIPPED! :fire:
