That pretty much what I make. Another way to do it is if you have some zebra pens (or other pens with a metallic shell) just gut the pen, burn a while in the bottoms of the bottle so the pen fits in at an angle, burn a carb and... tada... you have a non mangled bottle bong (1-3 hitter)

I just starting flowering a couple days ago, but even before I saw some growth kinda above above the stipules that separate into 2. I have 2 plants that show similar growth on various nodes. This a sure sign of female? (In the picture 2 growths are on the back side and one is on the front)...

I've been using CFL's from the beginning and I plan to use during flowering as well. The only problem with CFL's is they don't give out as strong of wavelengths the plant need during flowering as other lights, but they will still grow great. CFL's are cheap and efficient. a node is where the stem from leaves and etc intersects with the main stalk (where the stem grows off of the stalk). You can induce flowering at any time, but it really all depends on your height constraints. Expect your plant to get 2-3 times taller when you flower.
