flo n gro problem.. keeps flooding!!

Either you're having bad luck with float switches, or something is jamming it open. I always have extra float switches on hand, they're easy to replace.

++Hellraizers++ DO AND DONTs and in and outs of the ebb&grow/ebb&flow systems

Flooding in 68 seconds every 60 minutes... Been lurking and learning here for a long time, my thanks to all. Still a rookie, always playing around and having just a little too much fun! Here's my latest creation. All feedback is encouraged, especially the constructive type! I already have a...

here we grow again!!!...ebb & grow

Good idea with the top feed for the young ones. Should be a better transition like you said. How often are the drippers turned on? Are you wasting to a drain? or a bucket? Nice and clean. Impressed.

Optimum flood time? - ebb & gro buckets

Before now, I haven't been able to find a control bucket timer that would allow flooding in less than 15 minute increments. My friend recently built me a digital controller that allows timing to the second. That's why I'm asking. Of course, I don't need to be THAT accurate; but I'm going to...

Optimum flood time? - ebb & gro buckets

That was my assumption too- nice to hear you've had some success with shorter, more frequent ebb/flow times.

Optimum flood time? - ebb & gro buckets

Thanks for your help! I've been doing the same as you for several cycles with good results. I'm wondering if I can get EVEN BETTER results by dialing in the length of the flood time. If your buckets only take 3 minutes to fill, is it best to have them soak submerged for 12 more minutes before...

Optimum flood time? - ebb & gro buckets

Ebb & Gro buckets: Is it best to time the flood so that the buckets are fully flooded and then drain them immediately? Or is it better to let the plants soak for a few minutes before draining them? I've got a new timer that lets me set precise flood times now, instead of the standard 15...

Adjusting solution for initial PPM of water - Yay or Nay?

Maybe it differs between manufacturers? Canna says to add your tapwater base ppm's to the nutrient target. They suggest a base tapwater of 250. So if your tap is 250 and your goal is 900, your final reading should be 1150 (900 + 250). Depending on the nutrient brand and your growing style...
