I use host gator for all my hosting/domain needs. Fuck godaddy. You're looking at about $85/year (if I remember correctly). Then you can use phpbb forum, it's free and quite versatile. You can monetize it by running ads, I'm not sure you can do that with the freeforum (never looked into it...
